Together with students from the course Art for Life, we examined the desire path as a metaphor for teaching and learning, and as an aesthetic approximation to sense of place.

Our process involved…
- Reflecting on how the concept of desire paths allow us to think differently about teaching and learning
- Mapping desire paths on campus
- Creating installations on desire paths
- And finally, inviting our friends and colleagues to participate in a walking tour, to visit the installations and converse further on the idea
This project will be presented by the students at the Florida Art Educator Association’s annual convention in October, and we are currently writing an article that will expand on our process and conclusions.
